Update: Images are now live and this is a Mi 9 5G model, as was suspected earlier. There are almost no changes in the design aspect of the handset as it appears to be a spitting image of the Mi 9.
The 5G Xiaomi handset with model number M1908F1XE has been doing the rounds on the rumour mill for some time. It was recently spotted with a 45W fast charge capacity on CCC recently but now its TENAA listing is being populated with key specifications. The exact identity of the device is still under wraps but the dominant opinion is that it could be a Mi 9S 5G or a Mi MIX 4. Nothing certain can be said as of now but below are some specifications.
The handset has a 6.39-inch display and a 4,000mAh battery while it measures 157.21×74.64×8.95(mm) in terms of dimensions. The screen size and dimensions are really close to the Mi 9 so we would say that this could really be a Mi 9S 5G handset. Anyways, we won’t have to wait a lot more before we get images of the handset when the dust will clear up for sure.
According to latest leaked information, the Mi 9S 5G will have certain other advantages compared to its non-5G counterpart. It is believed to host a sharper 2K OLED display. We presume this means QHD. Moreover, the main shooter on the rear will have OIS and there will be a larger battery on the handset along with 45W fast charging. Well, going by the current listing we just reported, the above model does tick all the boxes mentioned here.
There’s no word on official launch but we’re expecting Xiaomi to announce something soon as the handset’s TENAA certification is underway. We will be updating this listing as soon as TENAA makes the images live and adds more specifications, so stay tuned.
