Huawei may soon launch two new color variants of the Mate 20 Pro flagship smartphone in China. An alleged image showing the upcoming Fragrant Red color variant was leaked online today on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, although no details regarding its availability are available currently. In addition to Fragrant Red, the Mate 20 Pro will also be available in Comet Blue soon.
As you can see in the image above, the Mate 20 Pro Fragrant Red color variant features a gradient finish. While no other details have been leaked online yet, it is currently being speculated that the Mate 20 Pro Fragrant Red and Comer Blue color variants might debut sometime before or after the spring festival in China. This year, the spring festival begins on February 5. Currently, the Mate 20 Pro is available in Bright Black, Sapphire Blue, Cherry Pink, Enamel, and Aurora color options in China.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro made its debut at an event in London in October last year. Thanks to its impressive design and hardware specifications, the Mate 20 Pro is among the best flagship Android smartphones currently on sale. It sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 3120 pixels Quad HD+ resolution and runs on a powerful HiSilicon Kirin 980 7nm octa-core processor. The Mate 20 Pro comes in three different memory configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It includes a Nano Memory card slot for further expansion up to 256GB.
One of the key highlights of the Mate 20 Pro is its 40MP + 20MP + 8MP triple-camera setup on the back. For selfies, the flagship handset is equipped with a 24MP snapper on the front. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C, 4G VoLTE, and an IR blaster. The internals of the handset are fueled by a large 4200mAh capacity battery with fast charging support. In terms of software, the Mate 20 Pro currently runs on Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0.
