The Huawei MatePad Pro just broke onto the rumour mill recently with an unapologetic iPad Pro-like aesthetic and design. But the premium upcoming tablet is now alleged to be on official record as two models passed CCC certification this afternoon. The two new models are MRX-W09 and MRX-W19 which could very well be 4G and WiFi versions of the electronic slate. The MatePad Pro is supposed to succeed Huawei’s MediaPad M6 in the near future.
Coming to the two devices, the certification reveals a 40W fast charging capacity that is usually only seen on Huawei’s top-of-the-line products. Since we expect the MatePad Pro to be a cutting-edge device, we presume it will also feature fast charging. We can most certainly expect it to ship with the Kirin 990 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. Moreover, since the MediaPad M6 had a 2K display, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a similar panel on this model as well.
Gathering details from leaked renders, we’re bound to see overall thin-bezels on the flagship tablet and likely the first hole-punch on a flagship tablet. You’ll also be getting an M-Pen stylus and a USB Type-C port. The Huawei MatePad Pro will also be available in a number of shades including Blue, White, Green, and Orange. With all the powerful hardware packed inside, the inevitable big question still remains about Google services and apps. There’s no clear indication as of now from Huawei either affirming or negating it and we’ll have to wait till launch date for the official word.
