A number of recently official teasers have very well confirmed the launch of the MatePad Pro on November 25. Following those teasers, an alleged model of the iPad Pro competitor has also appeared on Geekbench today. Huawei already has a premium MediaPad series of slates in its locker but the MatePad will be a top-of-the-line offering from the company. A recent leak completely revealed not only the design and build of the tablet but also its colour options.
The model number of the device spotted today is HUAWEI MRX-AL09 and it sports a HiSilicon Kirin octa-core processor clocked at 1.86GHz. It has 6GB of RAM and Android 10.0 onboard. The scores also show the CPU will be a flagship chip powering the tablet. Apart from this, a fresh teaser shared by Huawei today has revealed that there could be more than just one size variant for the MatePad Pro although we don’t know the exact sizes. Also, Huawei has also shared a promotional video today confirming the series but there’s not much in the video that is worth sharing. another teaser poster which was shared this week itself suggests that the Huawei MatePad Pro could come with multi-screen support.
Based on previous information, the MatePad Pro is expected to feature the Kirin 990 SoC which is Huawei’s cutting-edge chip. There will also likely be an 8GB + 256GB version looking at the high-end placement of the product. As far as design is concerned, the MatePad Pro will most probably house a thin-bezel design with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The rear will be home to dual cameras accompanying an LED flash. More importantly, a 40W fast charging feature along with an M Pen stylus is very likely to debut with the device. And since this is very bluntly aimed at the iPad Pro or Tab S6, so is a detachable keyboard.
The MatePad should come in four colour options – Green, Orange, White, Blue. The launch isn’t very far off
