Huawei is one of the few brands which is still launching Android tablets even though demand for such devices is dwindling. Even Apple hasn’t been able to increase the sales of iPads. Huawei had launched its first MediaPad M5 tablet more than a year ago. Now, the company seems to be ready for the launch of its newer tablet series: MediaPad M6. The company will most probably launch various models with varying screen sizes in its refreshed tablet lineup.
As you can see in the image below, there are uniform bezels all around the screen, leading us to believe that the MediaPad M6 tablet variant is a 10-inch screen version. We can also see a hint of stereo speakers on the upcoming tablet. The tablet will be launched on June 21 in the Chinese market. Other than this, we can’t see any other feature of the Huawei MediaPad M6.
The MediaPad M5’s highest-end tablet variant had a 10-inch QHD IPS LCD screen, metal design, four loudspeakers in stereo audio setup, a 13MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, and an 8MP selfie camera. In terms of hardware internals, the MediaPad M5 10 was equipped with a Kirin 960s 16nm octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. There was a rear-facing fingerprint reader on the tablet, and in terms of connectivity, the MediaPad M5 10 had Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The tablet was powered by a 7500mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
We expect the MediaPad M6’s high-end variant to come equipped with the Kirin 980 chipset, UFS 2.0 storage chip, and quad-speaker stereo audio setup. It will most probably be launched in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants. Smaller screen sized variants of the Huawei MediaPad M6 tablet could be launched in the coming months.
