Earlier this week, leading Chinese smartphone maker Huawei teased its upcoming Nova 4e mid-range Android smartphone on Weibo. The company today confirmed that the smartphone will be launched in China on March 14. It is expected to debut in global markets as the P30 Lite alongside the P30 and P30 Pro smartphones in Paris on March 26.
Huawei Nova 4e Will Launch as the P30 Lite in Markets Outside China
The recently released official teaser on Weibo has confirmed that the Nova 4e will sport a tiny waterdrop notch at the top. One of the key highlights of the Nova 4e or P30 Lite will be a 32MP selfie snapper. While it has not been confirmed yet, the smartphone is expected to run on an octa-core 12nm Kirin 710 chipset under the hood.
Huawei Nova 4e had been spotted on TENAA last month, which helped shed some light on the smartphone’s hardware specs. According to the TENAA listings, the Nova 4e will come equipped with a 6.15-inch sized display. Similar to the vanilla P30, we expect the Nova 4e or P30 Lite to sport a Full HD+ resolution display. At the rear, the upcoming smartphone will have an impressive triple-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor module. While the resolution of the three rear cameras has not been revealed, rumors suggest that it could be a 20MP + 16MP + 2MP setup. Fueling the internals of the Nova 4e will be a 3240mAh capacity battery with 18W fast charging support. On the software front, the smartphone will be running on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 right out of the box.
As mentioned earlier, the global variant of the Nova 4e is likely to be introduced on March 26 at Huawei’s global launch event in Paris. The star of the show, however, will be the flagship P30 Pro smartphone. It is expected to come with a quad-camera setup on the back with 10x hybrid zoom.
