HMD Global Oy may soon release a new Nokia-branded phone in the Indian market. According to the new information that we have obtained, the company’s next product for the Indian market will carry the model number TA-1152. The handset is expected to be launched in the country soon after the Mobile World Congress 2019. Unfortunately, however, the identity of the TA-1152 is a complete mystery at this point in time. The TA-1152 has not been spotted on any certification agency website either, so there is absolutely nothing that we know about it currently. What is fairly certain, though, is that the device is likely to break cover at the company’s Mobile World Congress press conference in Barcelona next month.
Nokia TA-1152 Likely to Debut Alongside Nokia 9 at MWC 2019 in Barcelona
Nokia released a new teaser for MWC 2019 on its official Twitter page recently, which revealed the silhouette of a smartphone with a punch-hole display. Going by recent leaks, the smartphone could debut globally as the Nokia 8.1 Plus. The TA-1152 may possibly be a variant of the mid-range smartphone and go on sale in India as well as other markets a few weeks after its official announcement in Barcelona. Apart from the Nokia 9 flagship smartphone and the mid-range handset with an in-display selfie camera, HMD Global is also expected to introduce the entry-level Nokia 1 Plus Android Go smartphone at Barcelona. Since the exact identity of the TA-1152 has not been established yet, there is a possibility of it being a variant of the Nokia 1 Plus. The Nokia 1 Plus will succeed the Nokia 1 from last year. The smartphone is rumored to feature a 5-inch 480 x 960 resolution display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek MT6739WW quad-core processor. Nokia 1 Plus will also include 1GB of RAM and is going to boot Android Pie Go Edition out of the box.
