OnePlus’ upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro has been caught on the Geekbench benchmark database ahead of its global launch on May 14. Alongside the OnePlus 7 Pro, the manufacturer will also introduce the standard OnePlus 7 at the event.
OnePlus 7 Pro 12GB RAM Variant Appears on Geekbench
Just as expected, the GM1917 variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with an Adreno 640 GPU. What is more impressive, however, is that the device is equipped with a whopping 12GB of RAM. Thanks to the powerful internals, the OnePlus 7 Pro GM1917 managed a single-core score of 3,551 points and a multi-core score of 11,012 points. On the software front, there are no surprises. The flagship OnePlus handset will debut with Android Pie-based OxygenOS out of the box. Even though we cannot be sure at this point, it is possible that only the OnePlus 7 Pro will be offered with 12GB RAM. The standard OnePlus 7, on the other hand, may only come equipped with up to 8GB RAM.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is said to feature a 6.7-inch 90Hz OLED display panel with Quad HD+ resolution and no notch whatsoever. As shown by CAD renders of the smartphone a few weeks back, it will have a pop-up selfie camera, similar to recent mid-range phones from sister brands OPPO and Vivo. On the back of the flagship phone will be a triple-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and 3x optical zoom. However, the primary sensor may only be able to capture 12MP resolution stills by default. On the other hand, the standard OnePlus 7 will come equipped with a less impressive 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear. In terms of battery life as well, the Pro version will have an edge over the standard version. While the OnePlus 7 is tipped to pack a 3700mAh capacity battery, the OnePlus 7 Pro will have a 4000mAh capacity battery.
