The OPPO A9 is priced at CNY 1,799 in China and will be available in three colors – Mica Green, Ice Jade White, and Fluorite Purple. It comes in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Moving on to key specs, the OPPO A9 features a 6.53-inch waterdrop IPS LCD screen with a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. While the display resolution has not been listed, it is likely that the phone has an HD+ resolution panel like other A-series OPPO smartphones. Under the hood, OPPO A9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core processor, the same chipset that powers the company’s mid-range F11 Pro.
In terms of optics, the OPPO A9 features a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the rear with a host of AI-powered features such as an AI portrait mode and AI scene detection. For selfies, the latest A-series phone from OPPO is equipped with a 16MP resolution snapper with personalized beautification powered by AI. Keeping the lights on is a large 4020mAh capacity battery with AI power management feature to help deliver impressive stamina. Fast charging, however, is not supported by the OPPO A9. In terms of software, the OPPO A9 will be running on ColorOS 6.0 out of the box, based on Android 9.0 Pie. It is listed to have GameBoost 2.0 as well for an improved gaming experience.
