The OPPO Reno 2 has not only received an India launch date but is also launching in China on September 10th in China. Before that, the handset has appeared on a number of certification portals including Bluetooth SIG, IMDA, and a couple of benchmarks. The model number is CPH1907. Also, this Bluetooth certification has uncharacteristically revealed a lot more than it usually does so we’re very positive that this could be the Reno 2. We previously reported the Reno 2 when it arrived on TENAA. Apart from the premium Reno 2, there’s the Reno 2Z and Reno 2F– both of which will be positioned below the Reno 2 in the pecking order.
Reno 2: Also Spotted on Geekbench and AnTuTu
Coming to the Bluetooth certification, it has revealed many vital components. For starters, it mentions an SM7150 processor which is the Snapdragon 730/G, a Full-HD+ 6.5 inch high-definition screen, and 48MP (Sony IMX586) +8MP (116 degree ultra-wide) + 13MP (telephoto) + 2MP rear cameras. The front camera is mentioned as a 16MP sensor and the battery has not been revealed yet. The AnTuTu score further confirmed the Snapdragon 730G and a variant with 8GB of RAM + 128GB of onboard storage. Separately, the Reno 2Z handset with model number CPH1951 has appeared on IMDA as well as the EEC, and Wi-Fi Alliance before.
Thanks to official teasers, we already know that the Reno 2 will have a shark-fin pop up camera module. The Reno 2 being the most premium will also get 20X Zoom which is double that of the Reno 10X Zoom. The entire Reno 2 series will have quad-cameras and full screens if leaks are to be believed. The difference will merely be in the kind of sensors and the processors. As per a leak by 91mobiles, both the Reno 2Z and Reno 2F have the same rear camera composition – 48MP + 8MP + 2MP +2MP. The launch in India is on August 28th.
