Redmi K20 to Come With Curved Glass Back, Triple Cameras

The Redmi K20 image shared by the company on Weibo confirms the smartphone will have a triple-camera setup at the rear. As mentioned earlier, the phone has a curved glass back panel with an attractive gradient red finish. We do not see any fingerprint sensor on the back of the Redmi K20, which reconfirms it will have an optical In-display fingerprint sensor instead. In fact, Redmi released a new teaser on Weibo earlier today, which revealed the K20 will have a seventh generation optical In-display fingerprint sensor. As previous Redmi teasers had confirmed, the K20 will have a notchless display panel with a popup selfie camera design. It is possible that Redmi will release a similar image showing the Redmi K20 from the front in the coming days.

The flagship Redmi K20 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor inside, clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM. It is rumored to have a 6.39-inch AMOLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, similar to Xiaomi’s Mi 9 flagship smartphone. As for optics, Redmi has confirmed the phone will utilize a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor. For selfies, the phone is likely to have a 20MP motorized popup selfie camera with a host of AI-powered features. Fueling the Redmi K20 will be a large 4000mAh capacity battery with 27W fast charging support. However, it remains to be seen if the Redmi K20 will be bundled with a 27W power adapter in the box. Xiaomi’s Mi 9, which also supports 27W fast charging, is bundled with an 18W charger in the box. As for software, the Redmi flagship smartphone will be running on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 right out of the box.
