Redmi is soon expected to take the wraps off its first flagship-grade smartphones at an event in Beijing, China. A recent rumor claimed Redmi will also launch its first notebook alongside the flagship smartphones at the event. We have now spotted the “RedmiBook 14” on the Bluetooth Launch Studio website, confirming that the Xiaomi sub-brand will indeed be launching its first notebook in its home market very soon.
RedmiBook 14 to Launch Alongside Redmi K20 and K20 Pro
As you can see in the Bluetooth certificate below, the first notebook from the Xiaomi sub-brand will carry the RedmiBook 14 moniker. While no key details have been revealed by the Bluetooth Launch Studio listing, the notebook’s name tells us that it will have a 14-inch sized display. The notebook will also have support for the Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy standard.
Since Redmi is Xiaomi’s value-focused brand, we can expect the RedmiBook 14 to be priced lower than the Mi Notebook series. Even though the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has only certified the RedmiBook 14 model so far, we cannot deny the possibility of there being more than one Redmi notebook in the works. As mentioned above, no details regarding the internals of the RedmiBook 14 are available right now.
The main highlight at Redmi’s upcoming launch event in China will be its flagship K20 and K20 Pro smartphones. Both the phones will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset under the hood. One of the two models is tipped to be launched as the POCO F2 in the Indian market. As for specs, the Redmi flagship smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an In-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is likely to be available with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. At the rear, it is expected to have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. For selfies, the phone may feature a 32MP resolution pop-up camera.
