Last month, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A10e entry-level Android smartphone had been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as well as the Wi-Fi Alliance. Both the agencies had certified the SM-A102U variant of the smartphone. Another Galaxy A10 variant with model number SM-A107F has now popped up on Geekbench. Some are speculating that the device could be launched as the Galaxy A10s.
Samsung SM-A107F Runs on a MediaTek Helio P22 Chipset
The SM-A107F listing on Geekbench tells us the upcoming Galaxy handset will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 octa-core processor. In terms of memory, the phone will be identical to the standard Galaxy A10 with 2GB of RAM. As for benchmarking performance, the Galaxy SM-A107F scored 701 points in the single-core test and 3,139 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. Since the Galaxy A10e specifications have not been leaked yet, we cannot deny the possibility of the SM-A107F being a Galaxy A10e variant. However, as mentioned earlier, some are suggesting the SM-A107F will instead carry the Galaxy A10s moniker.
Announced in February this year, the standard Galaxy A10 runs on Samsung’s Exynos 7884 octa-core processor clocked at up to 1.6 GHz with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.2-inch Infinity-V LCD display panel featuring 1520 x 720 HD+ resolution. As for storage, the Galaxy A10 has 32GB of internal storage, which can be easily expanded further up to 512GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the back of the phone is a 13MP single camera with an f/1.9 aperture and support for Full HD video recording at 30fps. For selfies, the Samsung Galaxy A10 offers a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Since it is an entry-level device, the Galaxy A10 packs a smaller battery compared to the more expensive A-series phones. It has a 3400mAh non-removable battery and lacks support for fast charging. On the software front, Galaxy A10 runs on Samsung’s latest One UI, which happens to be based on Android 9.0 Pie.
