We’ve seen our fair share of 5G smartphones this year, however, the tablet space is yet to see a product with that connectivity yet. However, the wait could end soon as Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Tab S6 5G has just been spotted getting certification on Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) portal this afternoon. Now, this has been expected as the Tab S6 5G was also reported on Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance recently. The assumption was that the tablet would launch on the company’s home turf which is one of the world’s first 5G markets. And that looks very likely now.
Coming to the certification itself, the same model number, SM-T866N seen before appears again and the listing says no more than what we already know about the 5G slate. However, as the name suggests, it is likely that we’ll see the same Galaxy Tab S6 internals with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and built-in 5G. Also, this is likely going to be an expensive tablet as even the base model (Wi-Fi version) of the Tab S6 costs a whopping $650.
The Galaxy Tab S6 comes with a renovated design that gives buyers slim overall -bezels and a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The rear panel of the device has a slight magnetic contour under the dual-camera setup which acts as the housing area for the S Pen which is another nice addition this year. It also has quad stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an improved 7,300mAh capacity battery.
