Update 2 (February 28, 2019): Clear images of the upcoming Vivo iQOO smartphone have now been added to the TENAA website. The image showing the smartphone from the front makes it quite clear that the first iQOO flagship will not feature a pop-up selfie camera design. Instead, it will have what appears to be a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. As already confirmed by official teasers previously, the smartphone will have a vertically-stacked triple-camera setup on the back. The smartphone is set to go official in China tomorrow, i.e. March 1.
Update 1 (February 25, 2019): iQOO today released a new teaser, showing off the design of its first smartphone once more. While the front panel is not shown in the teaser, we can see that the iQOO smartphone sports a gradient finish on the back and sports a vertically-stacked triple-camera setup. Going by the teaser, the smartphone will only be available in two gradient colors at launch: Red and Blue.
iQOO, the new sub-brand of BBK-owned smartphone maker Vivo announced last week that it will be launching its very first smartphone in China at an event on March 1. Ahead of the smartphone’s formal launch in China next month, the iQOO flagship has been spotted on the TENAA website.
iQOO Flagship Smartphone Will Feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Resolution Display
The TENAA listings for the Vivo V1824A and 1824BA variants of the upcoming iQOO smartphone reveal the smartphone will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. In terms of physical dimensions, the listing reveals the smartphone measures 157.69 x 75.2 x 8.51mm. Moving on to the memory department, the smartphone will be available in multiple configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. In the camera department, iQOO’s first smartphone will have a 13MP + 12MP + 12MP setup at the rear and a single 12MP snapper on the front for selfies. It should be noted that the 3920mAh capacity listed on the TENAA website is the minimum rated capacity and not the typical capacity, which is 4000mAh.
As confirmed by the company previously, the iQOO flagship smartphone will be running on Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile processor, the Snapdragon 855. The smartphone will also offer 4D Shock for a more engaging gaming experience, NFC support, USB Type-C port, and a sixth-generation In-display fingerprint sensor.
