A Vivo model number 1912 has been logged on the Geekbench website today and it looks like this is the non-5G variant of the soon-to-be-launched Vivo NEX 3. This model appears after the Vivo V1924A variant which is the 5G model also showed up on Geekbench just some days back. The model Vivo 1912 can surely be confirmed as Vivo NEX 3 because it appeared with the same nomenclature on Thailand’s NBTC just a while back. Vivo is very close to announcing the NEX 3 in China and hence we’re witnessing more benchmark tests of the handset pop up online.
Coming to the Geekbench log, one could easily ridicule the listing as fake looking at the extremely low scores. Considering the NEX 3 will sport a Snapdragon 855+ chip, the figures should be quadruple to the ones seen here. However, it seems Geekbench’s v5.0 is the culprit here. Regardless, the model does show a “msmnile” processor onboard alluding to the presence of the Qualcomm flagship SoC. When the NEX 3 5G (V1924A) was detected on Geekbench yesterday, it clocked a score of 11,347 for multi-core which is befitting a flagship. Both devices were detected with 8GB of RAM. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see 12GB RAM + 512GB storage models of this flagship.
The NEX 3 has already been teased a lot on Chinese social media channels. It will be Vivo’s first device with Samsung’s 64MP camera sensor inside a triple camera module. It also has a massive 6.89-inch AMOLED notch-less screen. Vivo has been marketing its Waterfall Screen that has steep 80-degree curves on the interwebs and it is believed that the pop-up camera phone could also come to India soon. The launch is on September 16th in China.
