Ahead of the launch of IQOO Pro 5G in China, we have spotted yet another 5G Vivo handset on the CCC portal today. The model is Vivo V1924A. In related news, IQOO has also confirmed that the IQOO Pro 5G will flaunt the brand new Snapdragon 855+ chipset via a teaser on social media today.
Coming to the V1924A model, the listing reveals premium specifications such as 44W charging and 5G capability which can only mean that this is an upcoming flagship handset. However, we’re unable to uncover the exact identity of the device. That’s because there are two other models that also have exactly the same specifications spotted in the past few weeks on the CCC website. Those models are V1916A and V1922A. Both these models also carry 44W fast charging and the former has 5G antennas as well. That along with the lack of other certifications puts us in limbo regarding the identity of these devices.
If we were to speculate, we’d say that one of these is the IQOO Pro 5G and the other one is the upcoming Vivo NEX 3 5G or the Vivo NEX S 5G. That leaves us with one more model. Leaks tell us that this is a 4G variant of the IQOO Pro 5G, in other words, a plain IQOO Pro which could launch on August 22 alongside its 5G sibling. That said, all this is certainly speculation as the true identities of these handsets will only be understood once it approaches TENAA certification.
In all other aspects, the Vivo IQOO Pro 5G looks like the same as its standard IQOO model. It has triple cameras, a waterdrop notch design, and an in-display fingerprint reader. We do expect it to have a bigger battery as is required by 5G models. Also, there could be more RAM and storage since this will be an all-out premium flagship.
