Vivo is soon expected to launch the first smartphone to feature Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset, which offers an integrated 5G modem. Ahead of its imminent launch in China, Vivo today released a new promo video for the upcoming X30, revealing a key feature of the device.
The latest teaser video for the Vivo X30 reveals the smartphone will support up to 60x zoom capabilities. To show off the incredible zoom capability of the Vivo X30, the company has also shared a camera sample on its Weibo page. Just like the Huawei P30 Pro, which offers 50x digital zoom, the Vivo X30 will come with a periscope-style tele zoom lens. OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, another smartphone featuring a periscope-style zoom lens, offers 60x digital zoom. However, it remains to be seen if the X30 will offer a higher optical zoom than Huawei’s smartphone.
According to rumors, the Vivo X30 will arrive with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display featuring Full HD+ resolution. A Pro variant of the X30 is said to be on the way as well, sporting a larger 6.89-inch panel. While the standard Vivo X30 will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, the X30 Pro could come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
In the camera department, the Vivo X30 will have a vertical camera array at the back with three sensors. It will also have an additional sensor placed along with the LED flash. The rest of the key tech specs of the smartphone haven’t been revealed yet, although we expect more details to surface as we head closer to its launch date. Both the Vivo X30 and X30 5G are expected to be made official in China next month.
