Last week, a report from 91Mobiles had claimed Vivo would soon launch the budget-friendly Y91 Android smartphone in India. The company has now listed the smartphone on its Indian website, which means the Y91 could soon go on sale in the country.
Vivo Y91 Listed on Vivo India Store
The Vivo Y91 listing on the Vivo India online store reveals the smartphone will be priced at Rs.11,990. It will only be available in a single memory configuration with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As for color options, consumers will be able to choose between Starry Black and Ocean Blue shades. While the smartphone is not available for purchase just yet, the Vivo online store does list all the offers that customers will be able to avail once it is in stock. These include exchange bonus on old devices as well as No Cost EMI on credit and Bajaj Finserv cards.
Vivo’s latest budget Android smartphone features a 6.22-inch Halo FullView display with 720 x 1520 HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. While the Chinese version runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 12nm octa-core processor, the Indian version runs on a MediaTek Helio P22 instead. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone includes 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Moving on to optics, the Vivo Y91 sports a 13MP + 2MP AI dual-camera setup at the rear. While the primary 13MP sensor is coupled with an f/2.2 aperture lens, the depth-sensing 2MP sensor is clubbed with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front is an 8MP snapper for selfies. The smartphone’s internals are fueled by a large 4030mAh capacity battery, although it lacks fast charging support. However, the Y91 does offer a fingerprint sensor as well as Face Access. In terms of physical size, the Vivo Y91 measures 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28mm and weighs 163.5 grams. On the software front, Vivo’s latest budget Android smartphone for the Indian market will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.5.
